Forensic Anthropology Services & Training

This project required a rapid turnaround to establish a visual identity for The Ohio State University's Forensic Anthropology Services & Training program. Below you can see work focused on developing the new unit logo.

Moving away from cliché imagery, the visual strategy will emphasize scientific precision while utilizing motifs like osteometric calipers or the Haversian System. This also needed to exist while strictly adhering to OSU’s official logo guidelines and Scarlet & Gray palette.

A big challenge of this project was finding the correct way to achieve the angle of the hand I was looking to convey. I also did not have a caliper in artillery so it made it a challenge to ensure it looked correct at the same angle. To get around this, instead of going out and buying a caliper, I found a 3D render to rotate in SketchFab to the angle and orientation of the camera that matched the view of the hand and angle I wanted to achieve.

This initiative will culminated in a comprehensive grouping of a few different deliverables, ranging from digital platforms and official stationery to uniform patches and challenge coins, ensuring a cohesive and authoritative presence in the field.
